IN MY SELFISH TIME
A NORTH WIND BLEW THAT STIRRED THE SEA ACROSS MY SECRET BAY,
GREEN KELP DANCED LIKE MERMAIDS TAILS OTTERS WERE AT PLAY,
HUNGER CALLS FROM SEAGULLS FAINTLY ECHOED DISTANT IN THE SKY,
AND IN MY NEED TO BE ALONE I WISHED FOR NO ONE TO PASS BY,
WAS THEN THE FEEL OF GUILT CAME TO ME IN MY SELFISH TIME,
AND WISHED THAT I COULD SHARE WHAT I PERCEIVED,
THAT TRANQUILITY WAS SIMPLY MINE.

you never told me you had this site. I remember the poem you sent me that you had written about the lambs and the rancor instead of milk about 4 years ago. I told you then you were a writer and you said no. But you never told me about this site.I love this poem but disagree that wanting to be alone is selfesh. It is much needed in people who live within their heart
