I am pleased to welcome you to Poetry By ShropLad.

This site contains my thoughts and poems, which were mainly written for my own pleasure but are now shared here for all to read.

Some of the poems were originally published on PoetryPoem.com and thanks to the wonders of modern science and WordPress I now have my own website.

I should explain my nickname, or alias, in writing ‘ShropLad’ is dedicated to the cycle of sixty-three poems in the book ‘Shropshire Lad’ by English Poet Alfred Edward Housman written in 1896.
